November 11, 2009 - Shoal Creek Veterans Day Program Draws Huge Crowd
The Shoal Creek Baptist fellowship hall was filled to capacity with veterans from all branches of the armed forces on Veterans Day 2009 as the church honored their service with its annual program.
State Senator Arthur Orr was the keynote speaker and was joined by Roger and Faye McWhorter, who founded the local Honor Flight program for North Alabama. Marvin Hale opened the service with the National Anthem and the Priceville High School JROTC program presented colors and raised a U.S. flag previously flown of the nation's capitol.
Mary Kellam, a longtime member of Shoal Creek Baptist, coordinated the event with assistance from several Shoal Creek members.
November 7, 2009 - Ladies Luncheon Tremendous Success
More than 175 ladies from the Priceville community turned out for the 2009 Fall Ladies Luncheon held at Shoal Creek Baptist Church on November 7.
Ladies in attendance were led in worship by Kim Goree, and heard an inspirational message from Lynn Steelmon, wife of Shoal Creek pastor Marty Steelmon.
A special thanks goes out to Susan Wallace and ALL who worked so hard to make this event such a tremendous success.
