At Shoal Creek Baptist, we believe in outreach – both in the local community, throughout our country, and around the world.
We support North American and International missions through our giving to the Southern Baptist Convention and by sponsoring local missionaries for specific trips throughout the year.
LOCAL: We support multiple local mission efforts including benevolence for the needy in our community, Sav-A-Life, the Tennessee Valley Outreach and other faith-based non-profit organizations. In addition, our community outreach efforts include events like Crossroads 2015: A Night of Hope, the Harvest Time Fall Revival and our annual Freedom Fest & Trunk or Treat Festival.
NATIONAL: We continue to support the Annie Armstrong Easter offering for North America Missions. We also support our NAMB missionaries in Boston and Washington, D.C. through prayer and routine mission trips.
INTERNATIONAL: We support the Lottie Moon Christmas offering for international missions. In July of 2015 we sent a 23-member mission team to Uganda to work with Daystar Cathedral. Shoal Creek sent more than 400 Christmas shoe boxes to Daystar's orphanage in Uganda the Fall of 2015. We are currently planning trips to Uganda for 2017. In the meantime, our ladies are sewing weekly for the girls of the orphanage in Uganda and we are preparing to send more Christmas gift boxes to Uganda in November of this year. Our Women on Mission group supports mission work through fundraisers. The group is also actively praying for all our missionaries and meets regularly to learn more about mission efforts throughout the world.
