What We Believe
The Bible is the inerrant Word of the Living God.
There is one true God, the sovereign creator and sustainer of all. He is revealed to us in three persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. This Trinity exists with distinct personal attributes, but without division of nature, essence or being.
Man was created by God in perfection, but through the disobedience of Adam, sin was allowed to enter the world. This sinful nature is passed down from generation to generation.
God provided His son, Jesus, as an atoning sacrifice for man’s sin. This redeeming act of salvation was one of grace, unmerited on our behalf and merciful of God. Christ took on our sin and was crucified as payment for them. A personal relationship with Jesus based on acceptance of Him as Lord and Savior is the only means of forgiveness for sin and the only path to the true and living God.
Believers are commanded to be baptized through immersion in water as a public profession and outward expression of their acceptance of Christ as Savior. This act does not save, but rather serves as testimony of a changed mind and repentant heart.
Jesus came to earth in human form and lived among man for more than 30 years. He was born of the Virgin Mary, having been conceived in her womb by the Holy Spirit. Jesus was perfect in every way, fully God and fully man.
Jesus was crucified on the cross of Calvary, laid to rest in a borrowed tomb and resurrected to new life on the third day. His glorious resurrection foreshadows the resurrection of all men, just and unjust, that will take place during the last days.
The return of Jesus is imminent, meaning that all prophecies required for His return have been fulfilled. He will come first to rapture, or catch up, all believers. Following this event, there will be seven years of tribulation in which the world will be led by The Antichrist and undergo the judgment of God. At the end of the tribulation period, Jesus will return accompanied by His church to triumphantly defeat The Antichrist and Satan.
Following the 1,000-year reign of Christ upon the earth, Satan will be eternally banished. Every man will be judged based on his acceptance or rejection of Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. All those who have accepted Him will live forever in Heaven. All those who have rejected Him will face eternal judgment in the Lake of Fire and separation from God forever.
