Youth

The Shoal Creek Baptist Youth Ministry reaches junior high and high school students from Priceville and the surrounding areas. From those entering the seventh grade to graduating high school seniors, this vital ministry strives to provide our youth with solid, practical Bible teaching so they can develop and sustain a close walk with Jesus.

Opportunities for youth worship include:

Youth Worship at SCBCWednesday Night Worship
The SCBC Youth group meets for worship on Wednesday nights at 6:30 p.m. in the youth area. Worship is led by Horizon, the SCBC youth praise band and the message is brought by Bro. Scott Robinson, director of student and children’s ministries. Bro. Scott is currently leading a study in the book of Genesis. Youth are encouraged to bring their friends and are welcome to hang out before or after service to play pool, jam, or just chill.


Youth Worship at SCBCSunday School
Bible Study classes are held on Sunday mornings at 9:00 a.m. Taught by volunteer lay leaders, classes are broken out into age groups that allow for topic-specific instruction and frank discussion about the issues facing today’s youth. Sunday School classes have also been known to head out for a little whitewater rafting, camping, or just hanging at the DQ or Joe Rooster’s!


Discipleship Training
Discipleship Training classes are held on Sunday nights at 5:00 p.m. Classes are divided into separate groups for gals and guys and led by members of our College and Career group. The Word is still the focal point of the class and discussion is always encouraged!


Lock-ins and Group Activities
Shoal Creek’s youth group also enjoys a variety of group outings and activities including lock-ins, game nights, and other opportunities for fun and fellowship. Check the Calendar of Events for the latest activities scheduled.


Camps
Shoal Creek’s youth attend various camps during the year, typically during summer and the winter school break. The next camp to be attended will be StudentLife at Shocco Springs/Talladega, June 7th - 11th,2010.
